Rules & Code of Conduct

Membership requirements

All official clan members must be at least 16 years old and meet Discord’s applicable age requirements. Members are not required to disclose their birth date or personal identification publicly.

Membership is nonexclusive. Members may belong to other gaming communities and clans. Members representing SHINIGAMI OPS in official competitions must honor agreed roster commitments and applicable tournament rules.

Recruiting new members is encouraged but entirely voluntary. No member may be punished, demoted, or denied an otherwise deserved promotion solely for not recruiting.

Members may participate casually, competitively, or in both divisions. Casual players are not required to attend practices, maintain performance statistics, or participate in tournaments.

Rule 01 — Respect every member

Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, slurs, threats, hate speech, and targeted personal attacks are prohibited.

Rule 02 — No toxic behavior

Friendly competition and joking are welcome. Excessive trash talk, personal insults, and deliberately provoking other members are not. Demonstrate good sportsmanship toward teammates and opponents.

Rule 03 — No cheating or exploiting

Cheating software, unauthorized exploits, account theft, and other unfair practices are prohibited. Follow Call of Duty’s rules and terms of service.

Rule 04 — Respect the chain of command

Follow reasonable instructions from authorized clan leadership. Members may respectfully question decisions and submit appeals. Leaders must not abuse their authority.

Rule 05 — No spam or unauthorized advertising

Do not flood channels, repeatedly tag members, promote unrelated servers without permission, spam invitations, or post malicious links.

Rule 06 — Protect member privacy

Do not share anyone’s personal information, private messages, recordings, or images without appropriate permission. Never pressure members to reveal private information.

Rule 07 — Keep content appropriate

Pornography, sexually explicit material, graphic violence, hateful content, illegal material, and other content violating Discord’s Community Guidelines are prohibited.

Rule 08 — Maintain teamwork

Support teammates, communicate constructively, and avoid deliberately sabotaging games or clan activities.

Rule 09 — No rank abuse

Leadership positions are responsibilities, not privileges to intimidate or control other members. Staff may not threaten, retaliate against, or unfairly punish members.

Rule 10 — Use channels correctly

Keep discussions relevant to their channels. Respect private leadership and support spaces.

Rule 11 — Respect real-life priorities

School, work, health, family, and personal responsibilities come first. General membership has no mandatory daily activity or weekly playtime requirement.

Community meetings and game nights are optional unless a member has voluntarily accepted a specific staff or competitive responsibility. Members may request leave without explaining private medical, family, or personal circumstances.

Rule 12 — Represent the clan with honor

When representing SHINIGAMI OPS, uphold our standards and demonstrate good sportsmanship.

Enforcement and agreement

Violations may result in an informal or documented warning, timeout or restriction, final warning or review, temporary suspension, removal from the clan, or server ban. Serious misconduct may result in immediate protective action.

Members may appeal through the designated private support process. See Disciplinary & appeals procedure for the review process and deadlines.

Participation in SHINIGAMI OPS requires compliance with these rules and applicable Discord and game policies.
